WYPIN Doing Day
The WYPIN Committee met one day during the year to reflect on what worked well and what didn’t work so well that needed to be done differently. This usually happens in the middle of the year. On that day the WYPIN Coordinator, Dayane Stanovic, facilitated the workshop so she could use the responses given by young people for her future work plan. That day was very important for the Committee because it not only gives the young people another chance to meet, but also gives young people the opportunity to take part in making decisions and giving advice about the organisation.
Last year, we had Stephanie Lushby from Foundation for Young Australians (FYA) to mentor us on that day. She helped us to write our aims, objectives and vision for the future of our organisation in relation to the three-year funding we received from FYA and how we were going to achieve them.
WYPIN Doing Day is a very crucial day for the WYPIN Committee to reflect and to make decisions and plan for the future of the organisation.
