WELS Leadership Program
Building the Capacity, Confidence and Leadership of Young People
During Term Two, WYPIN ran 10 weeks of leadership training for a class at the Western English Language School (WELS). This was facilitated by peer-educators from WYPIN. It also entailed an excursion to the city.
Young people learnt, experienced and shared a number of skills including: trust and cooperation, body language, map reading, leadership in the Australian system (schools & government), public speaking and conflict resolution. The program aimed to increase the confidence and self esteem of young people at school and else where.

WYPIN will be running the leadership program again at WELS in Term 4 during October and November.
